Episode 130
Breakdowns, Break Throughs, and Healing
SHOW NOTES
Izzy Atkinson is a Boston-based Empowerment Coach, Personal Trainer, Project Manager, Podcast Host and Board President of The Soul Project, Inc., a non-profit that empowers women and young girls to live their lives as their authentic selves. Izzy found herself in the line of work she is doing now from her own lived experiences. From struggling with body dysmorphia and disordered eating, to battling anxiety and depression, Izzy pursued a career in fitness and coaching because of how much Izzy’s life changed when she learned to create a healthy movement routine and change her mindset from a place of shaming herself and her body, to a place of empowerment and embodying her self-worth. Through Izzy’s healing journey, she continuously found herself in spaces where she was helping teach others how to feel empowered, confident, to embrace their strengths, and own their voice. Izzy has been able to translate her experience not only in her entrepreneurial endeavors, but also in her corporate career with Empowerment and Leadership coaching. Izzy takes pride in creating community in everything that she does and showing others that when you allow yourself to live your life as your truest self, you give others permission to do the same.
In this podcast episode, we talk about dating yourself first, embracing your feminine energy, her healing journey, recognizing narcissism, and finding internal validation through soul work. Izzy’s energy radiates positive energy and this conversation was so aligned with my own story. This is a very real and vulnerable conversation that makes for a wholesome listen.
